And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. –  Gal. 6:9-10

Opportunity is defined as a favorable juncture of circumstances that brings advancement or progress. As a child of God, we have favor released on our circumstances without realizing it. Unexpectedly, amid our daily routine, we receive a phone call, run into someone, or are asked to do something unplanned. Our answer, our response to that happening, is what brings the manifestation of much more than we can see.

Sometimes it appears to be minimal, insignificant, of no importance or value; but with God’s favor, nothing is insignificant. At other times, it appears too big or totally impossible. Opportunities come suddenly, so there is no time to hinder the outcome with our human thinking. We take a step of faith into what doesn’t have an immediate impact. When we are led by the Spirit of God, it almost always conflicts with what we see, hear or feel in the natural.

The Lord places someone in our path or something looking very ordinary to take us to the extraordinary. When opportunity knocks, let’s follow the leading of the Lord in answering it. God opens doors no one can close; He closes doors no one can open. We can trust Him and expect the unexpected, from glory to glory!
