The wedding party needed wine but when Jesus asked the servants to fill the waterpots with water, they must have been wondering, “the wedding party needs wine, not water. What is Jesus up to?” Mary had told them to do whatever He said to them and they knew not to question Him. His instructions came with authority. Their obedience came with excitement and curiosity.
We obey His leading even when His plan is not clear. We follow His instructions even when we question the why. God’s ways might not make sense, but following Him does. We take whatever step He places in front of us and trust the outcome. It could be to care for a loved one, help a co-worker, pray for someone or intercede as He leads. We remain faithful for His glory!
Little steps of obedience connect us to great manifestations of His glory. The more we follow Christ; the more He flows. Whatever He says to do, we do by faith and by His grace, trusting the results will surpass our expectations. Our trust is in Him, from glory to glory!
