The Word of God is not only the Bible; it’s one of the names of Jesus Christ. He is the Word of God. He is the only begotten son of the Father. He is the Word that spoke all things into being. He is the Word that was promised and spoken of by all the prophets. He is the Word that became flesh and dwelt among us.
The Word of God is living and powerful. He is the living redeemer and mediator, and He lives forevermore. He is the author and giver of all life. He is mighty, and we see that in all He created and holds in His hand; in all His miraculous works; in the supernatural manifestation of His love and grace.
He is sharper than any two-edged sword and pierces our hearts, dividing even the soul and the spirit. He touches all that is seen and unseen. He is the discerner of the thoughts and intents of our hearts. All that He is becomes alive and powerful in and through us. The Word of God is not just to be read, but to be seen as it is lived. We are living epistles, from glory to glory!
Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
