When we fail, we try to hide from God instead of going to Him to get the mercy and grace we need. Our adversary wants us to dwell in defeat. Jesus is our great High Priest, and He is always compassionate and faithful. He understands everything we go through. Even when no one else “gets us”, God does.
He sympathizes with us and helps with the burdens and cares we carry to Him. We come to Him, not thinking we might find mercy and grace, but believing we will. He is the way, the truth, and the life. We come with hope and in humility. We don’t get what we deserve, but what we don’t deserve. How wonderful it is to find mercy and grace in our times of need!
The Word of God is alive, active, and sharper than any two-edged sword. He pierces and reveals, with love, what we need to deal with, by His grace. It’s not our inadequacy, but God’s sufficiency that allows us to come to Him. He knows; He understands; He cares, and He loves. We believe. We receive. We come boldly, from glory to glory!
Hebrews 4:16 “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
