When the Lord doesn’t meet our immediate need, or move the way we expect Him to; change things we don’t want changed, or leave things unchanged we do want changed; do we still worship Him? If things were going our way, we would not need any faith and would only depend on ourselves. However, we are to walk by faith and not by sight. By faith, we trust God for His best when we face the worst.
When Jesus entered Jerusalem, people expected Him to throw away the harsh ruling of the Romans and help them economically. After they realized Jesus’ plan didn’t meet theirs, their Hosannas turned to crucify Him! Their plan was for things around them to be changed; His was for their hearts to be changed through salvation.
Some turn away from the Lord when things don’t go their way instead of drawing closer to Him. God never gives up on us, and we should never give up on Him, even when we question His workings. We trust Him for the best He has for us. He knows our hearts and, with love and grace, takes us from faith to faith, from glory to glory!
Hebrews 13:15 “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.”
