Fully Convinced
For Isaac’s birth, Abraham did not consider his own body or his wife’s womb, as he was ninety-nine and she was eighty-nine years old. For the fulfillment of the reasons for which Isaac was born, he had to continue to not be moved by the natural. He was fully convinced, persuaded, and trusted in the one who had promised: God, regardless of what might be required of him in the process.
As we walk by faith, what do we face today that we should not consider? Our age? Strength? Finances? Looks? Or are we able to not concern ourselves with our condition, but do so with someone else’s? It could be our mate, business partner or friend. We must walk by faith, not by sight, and can only do so as we grow in the knowledge of the reality of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
It’s in giving glory to God, that we learn to trust His ways, even when they are unknown or unclear. We can be fully persuaded that what God has promised to us in His word, He is able to perform. His promises depend on His abilities, not on ours. Unmovable, unbothered, unaffected, unshakable, and determined, we walk, from glory to glory!
Romans 4:20-21 “He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.”
