Yielding
The right to reign was given into the hands of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit brings the believer to cooperate in this matter by deliberately refusing the reigning of self and choosing voluntarily the sovereignty of Christ over his life, yielding to Him as Lord and Master. To yield is to give up control.
We see an example of yielding when we drive a car. As we enter onto a freeway, we are watching the upcoming traffic and we yield as we ease our foot on the gas. We do not stop… we yield. As we give the Lord the right of way, we are moving along, watching for Him at the same time. We pay attention to what He is doing. We don’t allow other things to come in between us. When He moves, we yield to Him; we step aside, relinquishing all control.
To trust Him completely, we have to get out of his way. We give up control the moment we let Him lead the way. We follow others as they are following Him. We do not let others control us when their will is not in agreement with God’s will. As we allow the Lord to have his way, we surrender all. We find it’s always for the best, from glory to glory!
Romans 12:1-2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
We surrender all as we allow the Lord to have His way; we find it’s always for the best. Click To Tweet
