The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands. – Ps. 138:8.
What are we concerned about? Our adversary’s tactics are to either distract us with trivial matters or overwhelm us with what truly matters. Knowing that God, not only is concerned about all that concerns us, but is working on bringing it to a successful completion helps us stand victoriously.
His love and care for us bypasses our understanding. Failure cannot be our expectation. His plan comes with completion. When something doesn’t appear to be successful, it’s because He is working on a better plan. We can trust the Lord will finish what He started as we obey His leading. Our continued surrendering of our works to Him, seeking for His, strengthens our faith and stirs up our praise, forevermore.
We are God’s workmanship. His mercy towards us abides forever. Let’s trust the work of His own hands, for He will not discard us as though we don’t matter. He who has gone so far will surely persevere with us until the end. His timing is perfect. Our future in Him is glorious, and He is bringing it to completion, from glory to glory!
Nevertheless I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand. You will guide me with Your counsel, And afterward receive me to glory. – Ps. 73:23-24.
Before encountering the Lord, we crave independence. However, upon knowing and believing in Him, we embark on a journey of living in dependence on Him, from faith to faith. The more we rely on God, the more we find we can fully and consistently trust Him …in and for everything. We lean on Him for specific requests and for the unknown in every situation.
Depending on God comes from acknowledging His omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence. It’s not merely about what He will do but about who He is. Frequently, God has resolved issues before we were even aware of them. He watches over all that concerns us, and we encounter challenges yielding to His presence and power.
Whether we know what we are waiting upon the Lord do in our lives, in our waiting, let’s find rest in trusting His loving care. His goodness remains steadfast. When doubts prompt us to question His ways, we seize those thoughts and place our trust in the assurance, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” We can rely on God’s grace, from glory to glory!
