Our Delight

Our Delight

Our love for God brings us joy. We delight ourselves in Him, enjoy His presence, and find contentment in all things. Our prayer for His will to be done is with assurance in His love and care. Even though we don’t know what our future holds, we trust Him because He is with us. As we delight ourselves in Him, we discover God’s desires for us.

We could not have thought of these desires on our own. They come with the faith and anointing only He can give. We don’t recognize these desires right away. They grow as God continues to make them clear, by revelation. Sometimes they resemble dreams because of their impossibility apart from the hand of God. We worship a big God and should dream big dreams!

We have a tendency to hold on to familiar desires. When we understand what God is leading us to be, or do, we commit our way to Him and trust that He will bring it to pass. Each instruction we follow replaces or refines old desires. Our primary goal is to walk in the spirit, not the flesh, from glory to glory!

Psalms 37:4-5 “Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.”

Seeking God’s Ways

Seeking God’s Ways

When God leads us to do something different, He lifts the anointing on what we were doing so we will know we are coming into a new season. When this happens, we might press through a current assignment believing the problem is with us. As we seek our Lord, we realize it is His way of leading us to something new. As we delight ourselves in Him, He stirs a new desire in our heart and His peace engulfs our whole being.

God may show us what He has for us right away, or He may show us after we take a step of faith and stop participating in our current assignment. When we find it difficult to continue doing what we are doing and it becomes a heavy burden, we must pray and pursue discernment on what is happening. Seasons of discouragement do happen, and trials trouble our inner peace. Spiritual warfare can also disturb the delight we should feel walking in the ways of the Lord. Our steps and our stops are ordered by the Lord.

Whatever the case may be, we can commit our way to the Lord and trust in Him to bring to pass His desires for us, from glory to glory!
