Staying in our own Lane
Staying in our own lane can be challenging. When we drive on a highway, we may see some who move too fast or too slow. Others may not be paying attention to the road or other vehicles. The moment they try to move us out of our place, the battle begins. For example, another car drives very close behind us to force us to move. The more we ignore them, the closer they follow. It is similar in our lives.
Pressures and distractions come to move us out of position. By the grace of God, we do not react in anger and allow God to use incidents to strengthen our boundaries. The Lord will help us remain steadfast as we keep our eyes on Him and follow His instructions. Keeping our eyes on the path God has laid for us, we trust and praise Him for our destination.
We can become too focused on other people’s lanes instead of our own. Maybe their lanes look so attractive that we desire theirs more than our own. Maybe we help others while neglecting our own space and feel resentment. Let’s enjoy our glorious ride, from glory to glory!
