We should look at failure as an opportunity to grow, never a reason to quit. By God’s grace we can move past disappointment and the fear of missing the mark. God remains our strength and helps us rise, try again, and achieve greater results.
It is better to try something and fail than not to try at all. It is exciting to experience new things. We are eager at the onset, enthusiastic and fired up. When the accomplishment we expected does not happen, when things fall apart, we fall along with it, and give up. Guilt, condemnation, and defeat battles us. We can be more forgiving and patient with others than ourselves. We tend to expect perfection from ourselves.
The moment we turn to the Lord, He helps us learn from these experiences and we grow from them instead of remaining stuck. We ask, “What could I have done differently? Better? What did I miss?” And we let go of what we did not know. “Lord, I trust you with what I don’t understand and with what you have for me to do next.” Everything we do, including our failures, are used by God to bring us greater opportunities, from glory to glory!
Psalm 73:26 “My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
