Powerful Prayer

Powerful Prayer

Even though God is all knowing, we make our requests known to Him so we can perceive what is in our own heart. Our thoughts receive clarity. Our fleshy frustrations and desires diminish. As we pour out our heart onto Him, our drawing nigh increases, and thanksgiving replaces worry. Whatever we think, feel, or experience, we can express to the Lord.

The only way to be anxious for nothing is to surrender everything to God. We can cast our cares onto Him because He cares for us. He hears our cries; He understands what we are going through and carries us through the storms of life by grace. His supernatural peace guards our hearts and minds. It protects us from anxiety and fear.

Prayer is a dialogue, not a monologue. We seek to hear Him and receive His wisdom. Knowing that God hears us and can help us empowers us to stop paying attention to our own thoughts and the lies of the enemy. Communion with God truly surpasses all understanding. In God’s care, we remain carefree, from glory to glory

Back and Forth

Back and Forth

I kept releasing my children to the Lord and taking them back by worrying and questioning their futures. Knowing God loved them more than I did wasn’t enough for me to trust Him with what needed to happen, or not happen, in their lives. I experienced the same going back and forth with myself, including my worries and concerns. With love and patience, the Lord kept leading me to trust His ability and rest in Him.

Regardless of how many times we surrender someone or something to the Lord, we must keep doing it, growing in the knowledge of His reality and ability. We learn not to doubt His workings and leave things into His mighty hands. Our confidence in Him stirs thanksgiving.

We surrender our offenses and trust His forgiveness, our cares for His care. As we surrender our worries, peace fills our hearts and minds. We receive all His provisions for our situations by faith and stand with great expectations. By His grace we do what He leads us to do and leave the rest at His feet, with thanksgiving and a heart of worship, from glory to glory!

Firewall

Firewall

We set a firewall on a computer for security. It monitors incoming and outgoing traffic. Its purpose is to form a barrier between the internal network and what comes in from external sources. In doing so, it blocks malicious traffic like viruses and hackers. The peace of God is like a firewall over our hearts and minds.

It protects us from the intruders of fear, doubt, worry and condemnation. Its efficiency keeps the thoughts of inadequacy, insecurity and inferiority at bay. We cannot comprehend how it works. It helps us stand by faith in our trials and expect the intervention of God. It protects our emotions from ruling us and helps us be still and know that He is God!

To establish it, we make our requests known unto God, release them into His hands, and trust Him with the results. With a heart of thanksgiving, we rest knowing we, and all that belong to us, are in expert hands, caring, able, healing hands. We also pray for the Spirit of God to delete all the cookies, the history of our negative thoughts. We discover God’s protection through every threat and abide in His love, from glory to glory
