Protection in Submission

Protection in Submission

As believers, we are called to minister to one another, bringing comfort and edification. It is important to remember that we are only vessels. God is the one who gives the increase to whatever we plant or water. Sometimes people we minister to may look at us like we are powerful. We must resist any word that tells us we are great or mighty. God alone gets the glory!

An anointed word will always point to the Lord. He is the one doing the work. We can do nothing for God without the Holy Spirit. When He manifests, there is a drawing to Jesus, to His love and grace. Satan uses pride and self-glorification to lead people to deception. Protection from deception comes through submission to God.

It is as we submit ourselves to God that we can resist the enemy. The very act of submitting to God is what resists the enemy. We submit by surrendering our will and our way to the Lord, and walk in the spirit, knowing and trusting that it’s all about Him, His will, and His way. We yield ourselves to Him, and let Him be, from glory to glory!

James 4:6-7 “But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: ‘God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.’ Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

Amazing Grace

Amazing Grace

The more we humble ourselves, the more grace the Lord gives us. Humility helps us confront ourselves and others. It’s not something we can do ourselves; it comes from a surrendered heart. As we humbly submit to God, we resist the devil, and he flees!

Grace is receiving what we do not deserve. Not only are we saved by grace through faith; but the more we grow in the Lord, the more we grow in His divine ability. As we behold Him, we can look at ourselves. When we can face our weaknesses, forgive ourselves, and realize we constantly need improvement, we allow the Holy Spirit to transform us.

Humility brings clarity in our decision making. If we realize we have made choices in our past outside of God’s will, we repent and receive forgiveness. With a grateful heart, we daily seek the Lord for His leading. When we asked for God’s will to be done in our lives, we removed the pride that hinders our hearing. We honestly desire His ways above our own. We walk from grace to grace, from faith to faith, from glory to glory!

James 4:6-7 “But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: ‘God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.’ Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

Blinders

Blinders

Blinders, bandages over our eyes, can shut out the light. Pride is one of the strongest. It opens the door for many other blinders like prejudice, rejection and offense. It is the one to watch out for the most because it hinders humility, which is necessary for the manifestation of the grace of God.

Pride is an unwillingness to humble ourselves, to say we have been wrong, or to take something back; To think more of the glory of man, others and our own, than of the glory of God; To walk more before man than before God; To care more about what others think than God. Pride caused satan’s fall, so he tries to use it the same way in our lives.

Since humility is our safeguard, we pursue it daily when we commune with the Lord. Our love for Him and our submission to His Lordship enables us to resist the devil and cause him to flee. We pray He reveals and heals our prideful ways by His spirit. As we welcome His cleansing, we rest in Him, from glory to glory.

James 4:6-7 “But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: ‘GOD RESISTS THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.’ Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
