Worship the Lord!

Worship the Lord!

“…let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” – Heb. 10:22.

The struggle against distractions when we worship the Lord is unceasing. Thoughts of inadequacy, unworthiness, or inferiority can block our full attention to the Lord. Among a host of other hindrances, external factors, such as others and our surroundings, can also contribute to this battle. As we draw nearer to Him through our worship, all these obstacles fade into insignificance, and only He matters.

One of the greatest blessings of the new covenant is our freedom to worship God in spirit and truth. We can come to God despite our faults and limitations. True worship isn’t measured by outward rituals or behaviors; rather, it’s assessed by the authenticity of our love for God. The how matters internally, not externally. God looks at the sincerity of our hearts.

When our hearts long for His presence, the Spirit of God empowers us to overcome difficulties and distractions. Our love for Him is a response to His amazing love for us. We express it during our daily activities, not just publicly on a Sunday. It’s when we are at our weakest that He is at His strongest. We worship the Lord with our heart regardless of what our head says, and our adoration increases, from glory to glory!
