Glorious Pearls

Glorious Pearls

When we are under spiritual attack continuously or unexpectedly, we can become irritated and frustrated. Unusual or excessive sensitivity to things around us gets stirred up. Our awareness of this occurrence is important so we can yield to the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

The illustration of the formation of pearls gives us valuable insight on the shield we have in Christ. Pearls are formed inside the shell of oysters as a defense mechanism against harmful, threatening irritants such as a parasite, or an attack that injures the mantle tissue. The mollusk creates a pearl sac to seal off the irritation, using a substance from within. The Holy Spirit keeps the irritations from penetrating and injuring our hearts. The love of God protects us. What is irritating comes to hinder God’s anointing. The Holy Spirit uses the anointing to secure the mantle we carry in Christ.

God embraces, comforts and covers us with His love. We have so much worth and are so valuable in Christ. We can celebrate every irritation today as He turns it into more glorification. Adversities form precious pearls, from glory to glory!

Ephesians 1:13-14 “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.”

Sealed!

Sealed!

When we are born again, the Holy Spirit seals us. Sealed means stamped for security or preservation. It is a guarantee, a pledge of God’s commitment to complete His work in us. It’s also a deposit securing what is to occur. Much more is to come to the praise of His glory!

Before selling their merchandise, merchants were to examine each item with scrutiny for any damages or defects. When they were 100% confident that they were in excellent condition, they would set their seal on it to prove they had inspected, approved, and could deliver the products. It showed ownership. The seal of the Holy Spirit on our lives confirms we are accepted, redeemed, saved, healed, and delivered.

Past circumstances might have placed a label on us, but in Christ all wrong labels are removed and replaced with the only one that matters: God’s property. Our belonging assures our destination and enables us to go through ordeals. Nothing and no one can remove this seal, and they cannot put another mark on us. We belong to the Lord Jesus Christ. We are His and are safe in His hands. In every place, His glory shines, from glory to glory!
