Before and After

Before and After

“… a land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of the LORD your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.” – Deut. 11:12.

We often face spiritual battles, both before and after following the guidance of our Lord. These conflicts primarily arise in our thoughts. Before we step forth, our circumstances and inadequacy try to keep us from walking into what our Lord is leading us to do. However, after rebuking these lies and obeying His leading, we find another challenge awaiting.

The battle that comes after our obedience attempts to stop us from doing anything for our Lord again. Because the anointing increases as we allow the Holy Spirit to move through us, the enemy attempts to stop us from continuing in our steps of obedience. He uses fear without ceasing. His lies pertain to self, insecurity, guilt, and inability. To navigate this warfare, our focus must remain on Jesus, remembering His ability and that He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

That after is also the before of the next leading we will to obey. The Holy Spirit strengthens us, multiplying His guidance so that we can quickly transition from one purpose to the next. We conquer the battle before and after as we continue to practice steps of obedience, leaving no time for the adversary. We are more than conquerors, from glory to glory!
