Our Good fight of faith
The enemy brings thoughts of despair when our weapons don’t seem to work. When after years of pressing through, our breakthrough hasn’t come, the fervency of our prayers diminishes. When a stronghold is about to fall, the enemy tries to get us to quit. We must keep our weapons sharpened as we pray in the Spirit. We keep plowing, trusting that eventually everything in opposition to God’s plan will come to naught.
We do not war against flesh and blood, and the weapons of our warfare are not carnal; they are mighty through God. These weapons are powerful because they come from God. It’s His word and His spirit that define how we should fight the battles. In His name, we conquer opposition. As we wage our good fight of faith, we are also being prepared to conquer even greater giants.
The Spirit of God demolishes fleshy wisdom and reveals divine wisdom. Whether we see it, we can trust the results of our warfare. By God’s grace, we never grow weary in well doing and we can trust that in due time we will reap. God is our fortress and as we abide and hide in Him, we rest in our victory, from glory to glory!
2 Corinthians 10:4-6 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
