Amazing!
God’s love can be confused with other types of love. There are three main words in Greek for love: Eros is a sexual kind of love. Phileo is brotherly love. Agape love is the highest form of love. It is unconditional, gives for the sake of giving, and expects nothing in return.
Receiving and placing the love of God above all others brings fulfillment. When this agape love is in a marriage, the others flow, and issues are handled with God in the center. When it is the priority of a single person, it removes loneliness and gives peace. In handling conflicts, the love of God overcomes offenses and facilitates forgiveness.
We cannot expect this love from others who might not walk in its reality yet; we love them that way, regardless. We learn to see and know people, including ourselves, by the spirit, not the flesh. Genuine friendships in God flourish even when people are apart. Fear cannot stay when we abide in this powerful love. We yield to this amazing love and pray for its manifestation, from glory to glory!
1 Corinthians 13:8 (a) “Love never fails.”
