“that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man” – Eph. 3:16

Our entire being benefits from being strengthened with might through God’s Spirit in our inner man. Apart from the Lord, our strength falls short. In our flesh, our efforts are limited, and our abilities are inadequate to fulfill our divine purpose. Our potential in Christ can only be pursued, empowered, and accomplished by His Spirit.

Spiritual strength provides us with greater physical and emotional resilience. It is granted to us according to the riches of God’s glory, not our own. There is no greater wealth than His glory, His abundant life, abundant grace, and abundant love. What a precious gift!

It’s difficult to call out to God for spiritual strength when we have none in the natural, yet it is the greatest need we have. When we go through trials, our tendency is to look for answers we can see. Let’s reach for the unseen, praying for this empowerment and the other powerful riches mentioned in Paul’s prayer, in Ephesians 3:14-21.

Even when we don’t think we need to, we should. We are so blessed to receive this amazing gift of being strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit that lives within us. We can expect it, above and beyond all we ask or think, from glory to glory!
