As we have received salvation, we also walk in Him, by grace through faith. In every situation, we must remember to let go and let God. We cease from our own works so God can help us walk in His ways. We stop so God can start. It’s when we get out of His way that He moves unrestricted and accomplishes the most.
God can begin speaking to our loved ones when we stop trying to convince them. God allows us to overcome addiction when we stop trying to do it ourselves. When a single person stops trying to find a mate, God brings one unexpectedly. When we think we are giving up, we are giving in to God, surrendering all!
When we are through with our own efforts, God’s power comes forth mightily. We believe. We receive. We hear. We obey and we rest. He is the vine; we are the branches. We can hang in there, abide in Him and surrender all. Resting in Him becomes easier as we remind ourselves that it’s all about Him, not about us, from glory to glory!
Matthew 11:28 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
