Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. – Hebrews 13:8 KJV

When we commit to stay consistent in our pursuit of a goal, we encounter significant resistance. It confirms our progress, even when it appears to be the opposite. The key to overcome is to keep trying, keep trusting, and keep stepping up to the plate God has prepared for us. The plate we step up to is filled with all we have in Christ. This visual helps us reach the unreachable Jesus has already achieved for us.

It’s a sign of noble character to continue to strive to accomplish something, regardless of our mistakes. The Lord is the one we learn to trust more and ourselves less. Our inabilities draw us closer to Him. We cannot let what we didn’t do yesterday stop us from doing what we need to do today.

In our spiritual exercises and habits that refer to self-care, the Holy Spirit takes us from having to do this or that, to wanting to do it and grow in our glorious transformation. By God’s grace, keep on keeping on. The Lord holds on to us and never lets go of us. He is our constant, even we are inconsistent, from glory to glory
