Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. – Hebrews 13:8 KJV
When we commit to stay consistent in our pursuit of a goal, we encounter significant resistance. It confirms our progress, even when it appears to be the opposite. The secret to prevailing is perseverance: continually trying, trusting, and stepping forward into the opportunities God lays before us. The visual of stepping up to a place filled with the abundance we have in Christ helps us reach the unreachable Jesus has already achieved for us.
It shows noble character to persist in our endeavors despite errors along the way. In this journey, we learn to rely more on the Lord and less on our own strength. Our inabilities draw us closer to Him. We cannot let what we didn’t do yesterday stop us from doing what we can do today.
Through our spiritual disciplines and self-care routines, the Holy Spirit takes us from having to do this or that, to wanting to do it and grow in our glorious transformation. By God’s grace, keep on keeping on. The Lord’s hand is upon you and He will never let go. He is our constant, even we are inconsistent, from glory to glory
