This day could not finish soon enough. It had been filled with frustrations. So many little things had gone wrong. He went home heavy and could not find a way to get out of the state he was in until he reached for his Bible and read his favorite chapter, Romans 8. Like a mighty wave, the Word of God, washed away his heaviness and the Spirit of God refreshed and renewed his strength.
The glory of the Word removes the dust of the World. There are times when we do not even realize that things have gotten to us. Our moods shift. We do not act or speak with others as usual. The busyness of getting involved in our next duty prevents us from examining ourselves as we should. Having regular spiritual checkups help us discern the dust on our feet and press through with our praise.
The Word of God washes the dust from our feet. When we cannot get to our Bible, the Word we carry will arise and empower us to snap out of it! One word from the Lord can turn a situation around instantly. The Lord equips us, edifies us and keeps us strong in Him, from glory to glory!
Ephesians 5:25-27 “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.”
