So the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore. – Ex. 14:30

The waters that parted for the children of Israel are the same waters that drowned the Egyptians. Our enemies cannot travel the road to victory Jesus has prepared for us. After the children of Israel crossed the Red Sea, they looked behind them and saw the dead Egyptians. We, too, must see our enemies defeated.

The lies of satan often pertain to things of our past: a failed goal, an addiction, a toxic relationship, or a shameful situation. Through the victory of Jesus on calvary and the power of forgiveness, we can abound in His grace. The person we used to be, before our new birth in Christ… is dead. We must see our old nature that tries to battle us as dead.

Proclaiming ourselves dead unto sin but alive unto God disarms our adversary. We are survivors and through the power of Christ, we bounce back from all trials and tribulations. What we see and believe as already conquered cannot threaten our lives. To see our enemies destroyed helps nullify their power. We remain on our road to victory and go forward with the glory of the Lord as our rear guard, from glory to glory!
