Before we know the Lord, we seek independence. Once we know and believe in the Lord, we learn to live a life of dependence on Him, from faith to faith. The more we rely on God, the more we find we can fully and consistently trust Him …in and for everything. We depend on Him for answers to our specific requests and for the unknown in every situation.
Depending on God means we count on His knowledge of all things. It’s not depending on what He is going to do as much as depending on who He is: omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent. Often, God has handled an issue before we even knew there was one. He watches over all that concerns us. We face issues yielding to His presence and power.
Whether or not we know what we are waiting upon the Lord to do in our lives, let’s rest in trusting His loving care. His goodness never fails. When thoughts cause us to walk by sight and question His ways, we take every thought captive and trust, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” We can rely on God’s grace, from glory to glory!
Psalms 73:23-24 “Nevertheless I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand. You will guide me with Your counsel, And afterward receive me to glory.”
