After another intense argument, a couple sought counsel. Sitting across from them in his office, the pastor said, “Peace, both of you, breathe, tell me what happened?” They both shouted at the same time. She, “He forgot to pick up milk on his way home. He always forgets about me;” and he, “I just forgot the milk, and she just blew up, mad at me as usual.” The pastor leaned in, grabbed their hands, and said, “Let’s pray for the Lord to reveal the real issues and restore peace.”

In relationships, when major issues are not communicated, people place a huge importance on minor ones. When someone goes on and on about something small, they are asking for help for a much bigger ongoing issue. This is detected not only in conversations, but in thoughts as well. Humility makes way to clarity and opens rivers of glory.

As we seek the Lord, He reveals what is not voiced, digs out the root causes, brings healing and freedom. With love, grace, and power, He leads us to heart to heart communications, forgiveness, and peace. He also gives us the ministry of reconciliation as we pray for others, from glory to glory!

Psalms145:18 “The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.”
