When light manifests in the realm of man, there is love, grace and anointing. When darkness manifests itself, there is deception, perversion and lies. Deception comes with caring for what the self wants; when it pleases the flesh. Protection from deception comes through submission to God.

As believers, we are called to minister to one another, to bring comfort and edify one another. It is important to remember that we are just vessels. God is the one who gives the increase. Sometimes people we minister to may look at us like we are powerful and wise. We must resist any word that tells us we are great or mighty, anything that tickles our ears because it pleases our flesh. An anointed word will always point to the Lord. He is the one doing the work. We can do nothing for God without the Holy Spirit.

It is as we submit ourselves to God that we can resist the enemy and he flees. The very act of submitting to God is what resists the enemy. We submit by surrendering our will and our way to the Lord. We walk in the spirit, knowing and trusting that it’s all about Him, His will and His way. We yield ourselves to Him, and let Him be, from glory to glory.

James 4:6-7 “But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: ‘God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.’ Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
