He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.” – Mat. 16:15-18
Father in heaven revealed truth to Peter, and it blessed him. Jesus emphasized that to Peter, and that He would build His church upon that rock. We should pray for the Spirit of Revelation for ourselves and others. It opens doors and protects us from deception.
We can only believe and receive the blessings of God by the revelation Father God gives us, from faith to faith. We must seek revelation for every decision we face and do nothing based on someone else’s revelations. When doubts come to quench what the Lord has revealed to us, we continue to seek Him wholeheartedly until He brings these anew and with increased faith.
We might try to get others to understand a truth we believe in, but it’s only when the Lord Himself reveals it to them that they can receive it. Others cannot always grasp a revelation we share, but they can rejoice and agree with us by faith and their own walk-in revelation knowledge. Let’s pray for the Spirit of Revelation and walk in the God’s will, from glory to glory!
