When a deer is being chased, he longs to get into the river and runs to its banks. He then swims until the waters submerge him so the hounds cannot catch his scent. Similarly, our soul longs after God. In known and unknown battles, we seek His presence with an intense desire.
God increases our thirst for Him so we can become more and more submerged and abide in His presence. Our adversary increases his fiery darts. He tries to keep our focus on his evil presence. Let’s recognize his ways and yield to the ways of God.
God’s presence comes with His protection, power, and provision. We continue praising our Lord, believing He quenches our thirst, and keeps us deep in the river of His glory. He protects us from our enemies. Our greatest desire is for the outpouring of God’s spirit. He protects us from our enemies. Deep calls unto deep!
We abide in the safety we have in Him. He is our hiding place. In His dwelling places, there is fullness of joy. God’s presence shields us from the presence of evil. The fragrance of Christ increases upon us, and the enemy must flee. More of Christ is our goal, from glory to glory!
