But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. – Is. 40:31
For the eagles, a storm is an opportunity to soar. Eagles can catch the wind of any raging storm and rise above it. They use the air pressure to ascend higher as they lock their wings and rest, weathering the storm from a place above it. God uses the pressures in our lives to take us higher in our faith, soaring like an eagle.
As we grow in Christ, we learn we can depend on Him in all circumstances. We know we can wait on God. To wait upon the Lord is to look eagerly for Him, expecting His manifestation with assurance. It’s as we do so that we mount up with wings like eagles. We soar higher than we did in the past. In the waiting, we receive more of His anointing.
In whatever storm we are facing, we receive the strength of the Lord. We soar above the dark clouds. As we wait upon the Lord, the weight of His glory increases. The rest and peace we find in Him is unexplainable. He connects us with other eagles for encouragement and edification. While we seek those things that are above, we conquer those things that are beneath. In Him, we abide, rest and are victorious, from glory to glory!
