And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” – Gal. 6:9-10
We can trust that our obedience to the Lord in even the smallest things will eventually bring forth glorious fruit. When we sense weariness while doing good, we must guard against discouragement and press through by faith. Whatever we do, we do as unto the Lord. Let us do not lose heart because we trust He will give increase to what we plant or water for His glory.
What we sow may be time, money, or talents. We give unconditionally, with love. It may not appear to be much, but it is because it is for the Lord. It may not appear to be appreciated, but it is, by the Lord. It may not measure up to how much we would like to give, but it is, in the Lord. We give ourselves to the Lord and He gives through us.
When the due season to reap is upon us, we are the most battled. In those moments, the loving and giving heart of God that dwells in our heart flows even more. Whatever He asks us to do, we delight in doing. We obey with love and patience, and without complaint. Let us not grow weary, from glory to glory!
