I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with long-suffering bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. – Eph. 4:1-3
The Spirit of God is empowering us to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. The anointing of God flows in greater measure through unity. Because of this and the greater works God has purposed to do through the Body of Christ, this endeavoring is increasing. The opposition that comes against some of our efforts only strengthens our determination.
Because of our power of agreement, our adversary’s primary plan is to divide, separate, or isolate the people of God. Instead of quickly battling one another, we must attempt to stand together. With long suffering (exceeding patience), we bear with one another in love. United in Christ, we walk in a fresh anointing for our calling.
As we pursue peace and pray for one another, we accomplish more than our natural minds can perceive. We keep watching, covering, looking out for, and protecting our brothers and sisters in the Lord. How grateful we can be for the love and peace of God that keeps us close to one another, united, from glory to glory!
