How do we recognize the presence of the Lord? To recognize someone or something, we have to have previously known or encountered that reality. The more we know the Lord’s Word and ways, the more we can recognize Him and know when He is present. Often, it’s as we experience the results of His presence upon us, that we realize He is in our midst. We identity Him by His fruit, which is being manifested.

We sense any weight being lifted up and replaced with His peace that surpasses all understanding. We are embraced by His love in a way that any shame and unworthiness dissipates. His joy is such that things we were sad about are replaced with deep trust and rest in God. Worship touches the depth of our heart in new ways. Our inner being feels stirred up with living waters. We identify the Lord in others with more certainty. Our steps carry surety, and holy boldness intensifies. Because of such fruit, we seek Him more and more, with great delight.

We recognize the presence of the Lord by recognizing this transformation in our lives. He is omnipresent, always with us, even when we are not aware. As we believe He is here, He reveals His reality to us. We experience His presence by experiencing what comes from Him, from glory to glory

Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”
