The picture of our Lord Jesus Christ holding our world together is such a blessing. When it’s difficult for us to keep it together, we can trust Jesus is keeping us together. He upholds all things by the power of His Word. Not only can we stand in the power of the Word, but the Word is His power holding our world together.
Upholding is to bear and to carry. Jesus holds us up and keeps us in Him. We are in His hands, and no one can snatch us out of His hands. When circumstances cause things to fall apart in our lives, we reach to Him to put it back together. When the battle in our mind intensifies, we receive His peace. Divisions try to separate us from Him, but to no avail!
Jesus radiates the glory of the Father and expresses His image. As we are being transformed into His image, we also radiate His glory and represent Him in every place. When things happen that should break us, they make us stronger and stronger. When we are too weak to hold on to Him, we can trust He is holding on to us, and rest in Him, from glory to glory!
