God hears us! The Almighty with whom all things are possible hears us! The Greek meaning of to hear, is to stop and pay attention to. When we pray, God stops and pays attention to us. He doesn’t just pay attention: He answers our petitions according to His will. Our confidence in God grows as we know He hears us. At times when we speak to others, we realize that they only hear us partially. Hearing is filtered through past experiences and the revelation of truth. No one will hear fully until we are perfected in the Kingdom, but God does.
He not only hears fully what we ask; He also hears what we have no words to express. He pays attention to the petitions we express, and to those we have in our hearts. He exceeds our expectations and does above and beyond all that we ask or think.
We ask God for the total victory we have in Christ. Every request we have is answered by more of Him. The moment we ask, we receive. We do not ask wondering if He wills, but according to His will. Without a doubt, it is His will for us to receive what He has given us. God hears us. We do not always hear Him. We find we hear Him increasingly as we pay attention to Him, from glory to glory!
1 John 5:14-15 “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”
