And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. – 2 Cor. 12:9

Circumstances can cause our flesh to react instead of responding in the spirit. It is then that we should yield to God’s power and trust its manifestation. I call this the bypass anointing. For instance, we may be upset and haven’t had time to shake the dust off our feet, or our bodies may be weak or in pain.

For example, Smith Wigglesworth arrived home exhausted after a long, hard day at work when he received a request for prayer. He obeyed the call to pray for that person. He stepped forth, pressing through the weakness of his body, and the person was healed. God moves despite us. What matters is for us to always remain available to Him. It is He who is able.

When we simply pray, yielding to God’s power, we walk in amazement at His response. We trust the Lord as we step forth in obedience and rely on His bypass anointing. It’s in those times that the Lord bypasses who we are, to be who He is; bypasses what we cannot do to do what only He can do; bypasses the natural to release the supernatural. We walk by faith, from glory to glory!
