Then she called the name of the LORD who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said, “Have I also here seen Him who sees me? – Gen. 16:13
When facing adversity, it may tempt us to put our eyes on the problems, which makes them even more threatening instead of focusing on the Lord, the promise keeper. Not only should we see Him as we magnify His name, but we also should see Him seeing us. This trust, by faith, comforts and strengthens us. The creator of the universe sees all that pertains to us!
God watches over us with His loving care. It means we are important to Him. God sees us and knows everything there is to know about our situation. He does not wonder what He can do for us, but already sees the answer He has sent forth manifesting in our lives. With care for each one of us, He watches over us. We are “the apple of His eye.”
As an “apple of His eye,” we are fragile and tender. We hurt and bruise from the smallest bump. God sees, protects, and preserves us from more than we know. In our weakened state under adverse conditions, God’s affection for us is amazing. He loves us, cares for us, and hides us under the shadow of His wings, from glory to glory!
