Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.” Ex. 33:15.

They wondered where they should move. Where did God want them to go? What if they missed His will? Even though they didn’t have a clear direction, they had to proceed because of the imminence of the move out date. Their struggle ended when they recalled that wherever they go, they go with God! They suddenly had peace that the where was secondary.

Jesus said He is always with us. The moment we are believers, our “going” is not necessarily to a destination — but a journey, walking with Him wherever we go. Knowing this truth helps answer all questions pertaining to the where and the what. It’s the who that matters. Since we go with God, we don’t worry about the specifics, but trust His presence will guide us. He will even use our missteps to teach us His ways.

For every decision, big or small, we choose to go with what’s God’s will is. When in our heart we go with God, our choices follow. When we have the awareness that He is in and with us, our relationship with Him grows in intimacy. Moment by moment, we desire His will to be done. He is working all things together for our good, from glory to glory!
