As God brings healing to our souls, He frees us to be ourselves. He shows us how much He loves and accepts us just the way we are, and how He loves us too much to leave us that way. The Spirit of God transforms us from the inside out. Acceptance of His unconditional love transforms us. By His grace, this freedom to be enables us to do as God leads us.
When searching for unconditional love, people might put on masks because they fear not being accepted for who they are. They desire others to see them in a certain way, often based on what they assume others are expecting. Masks that hide who we are apart from Christ drop as we walk in our new identity in Him. Instead of hiding, we discover our divine potential.
The anointing of God brings freedom to the captives. We walk free from other people’s approval, acceptance, and affirmation; free from past mistakes; free from fear of our future; free from guilt, shame, abandonment, and rejection; free from sin, death, and oppression. Knowing the truth about who we are in Christ sets us free from who we used to be. We are free to be, from glory to glory!
