Deep Waters

And when the man went out to the east with the line in his hand, he measured one thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the water came up to my ankles. Again he measured one thousand and brought me through the waters; the water came up to my knees. Again he measured one thousand and brought me through; the water came up to my waist. – Ezekiel 47:3-4 nkjv.

God’s desire is for His presence to cover us in every area of our lives. We experience the river of God on many levels and as we move in its deep waters; we discover more of who He is and more of who we are in Him.

In some areas of our lives, we may stand ankle-deep in the river, in other areas, up to our knees, to our waist, or all the way over our head. Regardless, as we walk with our Lord, we can trust we are where we need to be. Our life in the Spirit relates not only to the living waters we are flowing in, but to the living waters that are flowing out of us. We release this abundant life to all those with whom we come in contact. Our cup runs over to shower others with God’s transforming glory.

In Christ, we are never stagnant; we are always on the move. Our Lord takes us from depth to depth and brings changes to all that pertains to us. When we see His salvation, healing, and hope, we no longer focus on the darkness but rejoice in the light. In the river, we go with peace, joy, and righteousness, from glory to glory!
