As we remain consistent in remaining connected and committed, we stay consistent with our pursuits. In our spiritual exercises and habits that refer to self-care, the Holy Spirit takes us from having to do this or that, to wanting to do it and grow in our glorious transformation.

The key is to keep trying, keep trusting, and keep stepping up to the plate God has prepared for us. It’s a sign of noble character to continue to strive to accomplish something, regardless of our mistakes. The Lord is the one we learn to trust more and ourselves less. Our inabilities draw us closer to Him. We cannot let what we didn’t do yesterday stop us from doing what we need to do today.

The plate we step up to is filled with all we have in Christ. This visual helps us reach the unreachable that Jesus has already achieved for us. By God’s grace, we hold on to the Lord and keep on keeping on. The Lord Jesus holds on to us. He never lets go of us! He is our constant, from glory to glory!

Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
