And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. – Rom. 8:28
Have we ever had a boss, principal, teacher, or pastor call us into their office? When they did, we thought, “This can’t be good. What have I done wrong?” These thoughts came from the lies satan speaks to make us expect the worst instead of the best. We learn to rebuke fear, trust and expect the best, because of God’s call upon our lives!
God calls us in when we spend more and more time in worship; when we are so intimate in our prayer time with Him that all else becomes invisible; when He has specific instructions to give us for what He wants us to do. The Spirit of God gently tugs on our hearts until we stop long enough to pay attention to His calling. His guiding light never turns off. Hallelujah!
Even in situations where others might call us in to give us bad news, God will somehow turn it around. The next time someone calls us in, let’s ask, Lord, I wonder what you are working on in my life! We can expect the outcome to be glorious. In all situations, we can depend on God’s calling to supersede all others as He takes us, from glory to glory!
