Breakthrough

So He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And He took the seven loaves and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and they set them before the multitude. Mark 8:6.

When everything around us seems to be falling apart, including ourselves, the only place to turn is at the feet of Jesus. In that place of surrendering everything to Him and pouring out our hearts, He removes whatever it is within us that might hinder His life from flowing out of our hearts. It’s important to remember that we are often closest to our breakthrough when we feel farthest from it.

The greatest breakthrough isn’t merely the settling of bills, the restoration of relationships, or the fulfillment of material needs. The most profound breakthrough occurs when Christ’s life bursts forth within us, transforming us and setting us free. As a result, the trials we face and the circumstances around us begin to change.

When chains are broken inwardly, they can no longer hold us captive outwardly. In Christ, we are continually moving forward, even when it might seem as though we are stepping backward. Just as the Lord gave thanks, broke the bread, and distributed it, our experiences of brokenness allow us to give thanks to the Lord for preparing us to be vessels through which His life is shared, from glory to glory!
