We can expect unexpected manifestations of who we are in Christ and His purposes. Because of the reality of Christ in us, all believers carry unknown potential. Just like in a natural pregnancy, the mother becomes encouraged and excited about the birth when her baby kicks. It is the same in our spiritual life.
For us, the kicking is when we sense things are finally moving; when what we carry feels the most alive. A jump within of joy at the sound of a scripture or a word. An early arising with an expectancy of unknown happenings. Interruptions of shouts of praise in our daily routine. Bursts of glory.
It’s also when the flesh wars against the spirit and our adversary throws the most fiery darts. We feel uncomfortable. It is during these trying moments that the spirit moves the most to strengthen us. The more hindrances kick against us, the greater the kick of determination within us. Battles become confirmation of the soon coming manifestation of what God has conceived. No darkness can destroy what Jesus, the Light of the World, breaks forth, from glory to glory!
John 7:37-38 “On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.‘ “
