I kept releasing my children to the Lord and taking them back by worrying and questioning their futures. Knowing God loved them more than I did wasn’t enough for me to trust Him with what needed to happen, or not happen, in their lives. I experienced the same going back and forth with myself, including my worries and concerns. With love and patience, the Lord kept leading me to trust His ability and rest in Him.
Regardless of how many times we surrender someone or something to the Lord, we must keep doing it, growing in the knowledge of His reality and ability. We learn not to doubt His workings and leave things into His mighty hands. Our confidence in Him stirs thanksgiving.
We surrender our offenses and trust His forgiveness, our cares for His care. As we surrender our worries, peace fills our hearts and minds. We receive all His provisions for our situations by faith and stand with great expectations. By His grace we do what He leads us to do and leave the rest at His feet, with thanksgiving and a heart of worship, from glory to glory!
Philippians 4:6-7 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
