Jesus had spit on the eyes of the blind man, put His hands on him, and asked him if he saw anything. When the blind man looked up and answered that he could see men like trees, walking, Jesus put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up again. The blind man then saw everyone clearly. Spiritually, our Lord touches us again and again until we see clearly.
As we seek Him for guidance, He brings clarification and confirmation of His will again and again. He will gradually bring to light what we need to know. We never have to walk in darkness when we follow Jesus. He is the light of the world and when our decisions seem cloudy, we ask Him to touch us again and again until our next move is visible.
Our Lord anoints our eyes to see what He has for us. Receiving His sight, His vision for us, gives greater clarity to everything we see. We see Him, others, and even ourselves with increasing glory. What a blessing it is to know that even though we see dimly now, it is only temporary. His hand is upon us, from glory to glory!
Mark 8:24-25 “And he looked up and said, ‘I see men like trees, walking.’ Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly.”
