But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord wills, and I will know, not the word of those who are puffed up, but the power. For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power. – 1 Cor. 4:19-20

The Kingdom of God is the realm in which God fulfills His will. It’s where Christ Jesus rules and reigns, spiritually, and one day will physically when He fully establishes His Kingdom on the earth. As Christ reigns in our lives, we see His Kingdom through our actions, not in word only—but in power. Our increasing transformation into the image of Christ affects those around us.

The world system (its values, rules, and ways) is being brought low as the values, principles, and reality of the Kingdom of God manifests. As we focus on our King and shine the light of His glory, others see and hear the gospel, and are drawn to the Lordship of Jesus. It is often said that actions speak louder than words. In the gospel, that is surely the case.

Focusing on the world and trying to handle things in the flesh hinders our advancing the Kingdom of God. Our focus is to worship the King, share the gospel, and rejoice at the manifestation of all He has in store for us, for such a time as this, from glory to glory!
