When God is preparing us to step into something new, He often must shift some things. Some situations and relationships are no longer comfortable. In this transition we might become restless and question our place in the present and in the future. However, the shift is necessary to accommodate God’s plans for our lives.
We are His workmanship and can trust what He sees fit. God has prepared beforehand, which in Greek means to fit up in advance, specifics to line up with His best for our lives. There is excitement in realizing the Lord stretches us to fit the new places we are about to occupy.
What God has for us is going to fit us as we let go of what no longer fits. We are familiar with what it takes to break into new shoes. At first, they do not feel comfortable. We get sore spots and need to adjust them. When that period is over, they fit like a glove, like they were tailor made for us. In our transitions, let us be quick to let go of what can no longer be. Let us trust the process and see it as our glorious transformation, from glory to glory!
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
