Fear is used by the enemy to hinder our walk of faith. As we learn to stand by faith, we recognize the different ways fear attempts to grip our souls. We begin to know the freedom we have to draw near to God, and we trust Him to help us and uphold us with His right hand.
Fear of what is happening, of what may happen, or of what has happened is often a reaction to what we may think we see or know in the natural. Fear to do, to speak up, to fail, or to be rejected pertains to what occurs in us. As we are free from the fear to, the fear of diminishes. There may be fears we are not aware of that are connected to our past and can be triggered by inconsequential things. Suddenly what is small brings huge anxiety and unreasonable fear. Fear is faith in the worst outcome, and it is conquered when we put our faith in who we are in Christ.
When we are near to God, there is no fear. To remain in a place of peace, our aim must be to come closer and closer to Him. We are in Christ — and in Him there is salvation, righteousness and abundant life. We receive His help by faith, from glory to glory!
Isaiah 41:10-13 “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
