Receiving revelation of who Jesus is, knowing Him in deeper, more intimate ways, gives us access to the things of the Kingdom. Jesus gave Simon Peter the keys of the Kingdom as a result of Peter knows who Jesus is. The same is true in our lives, not just regarding who the Lord is… but also who He is in others.

Who do we say He is? Who do we say a child of God is? Is it just BillTim or Susie? Or… do we believe this is the child of the most High God? The people in our lives who are born again are not just who they are known to be in the natural, but they are vessels used by God in greater measure than what is seen.

As we grow and walk in the Spirit, we no longer battle the inner familiarity with ourselves, but we see it in others. The Holy Spirit is moving through us. We have finally learned to recognize and believe in the glory of the Lord that is seen in and through us. Others in our lives start to receive from the Lord through us, bypassing who we are in the natural. We grow to know no one by the flesh, but in and by the Spirit of God, from glory to glory!

Matthew 16:16-19 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
